Consciousness Matters
Yes, that means “being aware is important.” It also means that consciousness (or whatever “god” word you are most comfortable/least uncomfortable with) becomes matter (the world we see and touch). Astrology describes the flavor of our consciousness, helping us co-create the form of our lives. It helps us matter.
Astrology is a roadmap for understanding ourselves and our relationships. Any astrological placement or aspect may be lived out in joyful or painful ways: because humans are messy and complicated, it's usually both! As you become familiar with the forces at work, you can begin to choose how you use them and you can create a life with more love, success, and satisfaction. You become a “quantum observer” of your own story, crystallizing the best of many possible versions into reality.

I use both mathematical and intuitive tools to identify your most influential planets and to find overarching themes and patterns in the chart. Each placement could say several different things, which is why computer-generated readings feel disjointed and contradictory. It is the human astrologer's job to discern what each placement has to say in your chart, and to tell a coherent story about a real person. The exciting part is that the same chart will show several possible stories. You may decide you want to choose a different version than the one you have lived so far, which means choosing a shift in consciousness: I can support this process with practical and metaphysical tools, including customized charms.
Already an astrology nerd? My theory and approach have been most heavily influenced by the writing of astrologers Donna Cunningham and Liz Greene. The Greco-Roman archetypes central to western astrology have been very close to my heart since childhood. I typically stick to the traditional Placidus house system, but sometimes I find that a chart’s story only becomes clear through using the Whole Sign system. I use modern planetary rulerships and pay much attention to the influence of outer planets, but I find that considering traditional house interpretations offers more depth and precision to a reading than strict adherence to the modern “alphabet” approach.
